Understanding Wave Phenomena

Waves are everywhere, and understanding their behavior leads us to understand nature. The goal of CRC 1173 »Wave Phenomena« is therefore to analytically understand, numerically simulate, and eventually manipulate wave propagation under realistic scenarios by intertwining analysis and numerics.

Karlsruhe PDE Seminar talk

After the 30th edition of the Biennial Conference in Numerical Analysis a prize committee decided to award the three SIAM UKIE Best Student Talk prizes to Astrid Herremans (KU Leuven), Felix Krumbiegel (KIT), and Katherine Mackenzie (U of Strathclyde).
